중량과 질량의 차이(Difference between weight and mass)

중량(weight)은 무거움의 량이므로, 무게를 의미한다.
질량(mass)은 물질의 량이으므로, 물질 그 자체의 수량을 의미한다.
중량은 지구에서와 달에서의 무거움의 크기가 변한다.
그러나 질량은 물질의 수량이므로 지구에서나 달에서나 동일하다.
이 두가지 용어가 헷갈리는 이유는, 우리 인간은 대부분 지구에서 살아가기 때문이다.

Weight is weight, so it means weight.
Mass refers to the quantity of a substance, and thus to the quantity of a substance itself.
The weight changes the size of the heaviness on Earth and in the moon.
However, since mass is the quantity of matter, it is the same on Earth and in the Moon.
The reason why these two terms are confused is that most of humans live on Earth.
